Exploring the DevOps Role in the Future – May 21st, 2019

Everybody is talking about DevOps. But what is it and how do you get started? Is it just another concept hiding behind a buzzword, or is it something you need to know about if you plan on working in the IT industry? Bjørn from IT Minds will make a case for the latter. He’ll introduce you to the basic elements within DevOps and explain how it can accelerate teams towards faster software delivery with higher quality and happier developers. It is both a mindset, a way of working, culture and technical practices. The DevOps role is not for everybody, but an understanding of the basic mindset and toolbox is important for people who want to work with any kind of development in the future.

During the workshop part of this event, you will set up a full continuous deployment pipeline for a node app which afterward automatically will be tested and deployed to a remote server hosted in Firebase. Bjørn will take you through all the initial steps in becoming familiar with the DevOps role.

We hope to see you!
