Sherry List, Azure Developer Technical Lead, Microsoft will be Keynote Speaker for The Orbies, winter 2019 edition.
Building reusable web components with Angular
In this keynote speech, Sherry will cover what web components are, including upcoming additions like lit-html and shadow parts. She will further demonstrate how easy it is to create them with Angular, mainly because of all the tooling provided in the Angular platform. Finally, she will walk us through how to add them to different projects.
About Sherry List
For the past 15 years, Sherry has worked with a variety of web technologies and currently works as Azure Developer Technical Lead at Microsoft – one of ORBIT Lab’s founding partners. Apart from her everyday job, she is a co-organizer of the ngVikings conference, as well as several Meetups groups, such as ngCopenhagen, Women Techmakers and GDG Copenhagen . She is a strong role model and active advocate for getting more women in technology. She loves animals and supports various non-profit animal protection organizations.
Sherry will also be part of the jury panel (the rest of the panel will be announced next week). The panel will be responsible for handing out Orbie statuettes in the categories Best Pitch, Best Video, Best Demo, Best Startup Potential and Best Overall Project.
